New Things....

Well, it's been a crazy few months for me! I mean, seriously, 1. I got MARRIED! woohoo... 2. Bought & sold all new furniture 3. Cleaned the ENTIRE house 4. Have been editing several photoshoots 5. Started a new job 6. Attempted to merge my stuff with my husbands....not easy in an 1100 sq. foot house Anyways, you get the point. In the process of being a new wife, I am in the process of revamping the blog. I've decided that everyday will have a "theme". This will help me stay organized and you know what to expect. I am very excited about sharing more of my life, DIY projects, photoshoots/weddings and etc. Here's the new schedule: DIY Monday Tip Tuesday - anything from wedding tips, to household tips, etc Photo Wednesday - blogs from recent photoshoots and weddings Cooking Thursday - I'll attempt to share receipes I find Random Friday - my free day!! Stay tuned......

10 New Things...

I know I've been REALLY bad at updating my blog. I've had a crazy past few months! I am finally caught up...Yay! Be looking for a new (yes, NEW) Kimberly Gail Photography website and some blog updates this week.

Here are 10 New things going on:

10. The blog will be changed into a photography, DIY projects, good shopping and random moments.
9. You will read alot about my dog-kids, Tommy and Oscar.
8. Daniel Green, my very cute fiance, photographs most weddings with me now!
7. I finished school and then decided to go back and get my teaching certificate.
6. I finally have a sample custom album
5. I really like Texas Junk Company, like I need to go get a pair of cowboy boots there.
4. I love chandeliers. I am now accepting donations.
3. I also love random chairs. Accepting donations as well.

MY NEW ADDICTON...

Since I'm moving into a house soon, I've been busy trying to come up with cool, funky ways to decorate the house. Since money doesn't grow on trees, I decided that I wanted to buy as much as I could from thrift stores and restore them! Why not go easy on the bank account & recycle something! In my DIY journey I discovered a fabulous store...Texas Junk Company. They have everything from thousands of old frames, old doors, pulls, lights and boots. Needless to say, I stocked up alot of cool stuff and will be showing off the projects soon! They are only open Friday & Saturday from 11-6. No matter what taste you have, you'll find Texas Junk Company addicting!

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year! I will be out of town for the next two weeks visiting my family and taking a much needed break....Kimberly Gail Photography did 21 weddings this year! Whew, so fun but so exhausting.

What's your schedule...

I've been getting ALOT of emails lately regarding weddings and days I have booked for 2010! This makes me so happy :)

I thought I would post all the days I have booked so far for 2010. This way if your interested in any days you can see if I'm booked!

Side note...I only shoot 4 weddings per quarter. This helps with editing and scheduling. I will also be getting married in July. I can't say the day, this is a surprise!, but I will be taking all of July off. Yes, this means I will be shooting nothing. No weddings, engagements, bridals or portraits. I will be busy doing last minute planning and spending time with my new husband!

Social Media...

Just warning you, this is a completely random post that has nothing to do with photography. I recently discovered this video on Youtube and was amazed! Sites like Facebook, Twitter and Blogger can be a great way to keep up with your family and friends (or an awesome photographer like me!) but who knew how much they had filtered into our everyday lives.

Hey Blog World-

So I have to admit this summer I have been a bad blogger. I've been getting lots of emails telling me how I haven't updated in awhile....I will. I am...soon. There are alot of new and exciting things in my life and in the KGP {Kimberly Gail Photography} world. First, I am too, am a bride! WooHoo! I get to marry my best friend and most handsome man in the world, Daniel Green. All those venue's I've gotten to photograph at are coming in handy :) . There are also lots of new things happening. I've got a new logo, new forms, new designs & lots of new creative ideas! Keep checking in regularly, as I'll be posting more & more. I've gotten many request to keep people updated on my life, my discoveries and new ideas. I'll try to share cool venues and funky things that I'm learning about weddings as well as posting pictures! Check back often....

This year has been so fabulous for Kimberly Gail Photography! There are so many new and exciting things in store for 2009…we just tweaked the website so if you haven’t checked it out, you should I am really excited about it! I started offering printing later in the year and this year I am excited to offer custom albums. They are a great way to document weddings and special events in a professional and fabulous way. I’ve updated all of the packages {wedding, family, bridal, portraits, etc} and now offer DVD slideshows! I have a great creator picking the out music and coordinating everything. It is such a great way to share your day with friends and family. You can even add video, if you had a videographer, to it as well. I am beginning to design Save the Date, Christmas Cards, Graduation Announcements and Birth Announcements. I am offering 15% off the photoshoot cost if you use me for the invitations or announcement. I have a background in invitations & stationery, so I am truly excited about his venture! Finally, I am now able to shoot as Rice University! Yay! Rice is such an awesome location to shoot at—they have great archways, stairs, grounds and lighting. Only selected photographers have this ability and I am so thrilled to be one of them. Thanks to everyone who has read this, used me as their photographer or just left a comment. Nothing ya’ll do goes unnoticed because without you guys this page wouldn’t exist. I am looking forward to 2009 --- meeting new clients and working with ones from ’08. Feel free to drop and comment or email anytime!

Normally, I post pictures from shoots here but since it's Christmas and I have a heart for volunteering, I posted this video! I hope everyone has a great Christmas! Hurricane Ike

Normally, I use this to post pictures I have taken. This past weekend, for everyone in Houston, was overwhelming. Overwhelming with fear, emotion & uncertainty. I am so blessed to have family out in Katy who I could "hunker down" with! Yesterday, I went back to my apartment only to find it without power & electricity.  While I want so badly to be frustrated about my power & water, I just can't after seeing what damage others have occurred. These photos don't even begin to describe the damage Ike has done. My thoughts & prayers are with everyone affected!
